You Hate Movies

As faithful purveyors of our own opinions, You Hate Movies returns with our annual Top 10 lists. From indie joints to summer blockbusters, critically acclaimed and critically reviled, things we loved and things we may have loved or hated (we’re not sure). Here are our top 10 movies of 2019.

In this episode, we are taking a twofold journey into Jim Henson’s beloved and divisive fantasy epic The Dark Crystal. For the first half-hour, our resident Dark Crystal geek, Josh, takes a deep-dive into The Dark Crystal and its new Netflix prequel series, Age of Resistance. Then, at the 36 minute mark, the whole gang is together, some of them seeing The Dark Crystal for the first time some 37 years after its release, and arguing about it.
